1.  Start of a normal day, arrived at school, went to class, typical normal buzz of a American high school.

b.   Short introduction to who Rachel was/her life and legacy has brought people to Jesus, and one of them is me.
1. Normal teen with a intense love for God - wanted to be used to reach the un reached

4.  Warrior for Christ. Weapons were love, compassion, caring and kindness.

d.      Scripture verse:  (Ask for someone to volunteer to read)  James 5:19-20: 19  My brothers and sisters, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and is brought back by another,  you should know that whoever brings back a sinner from wandering will save the sinner's soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.

II.                Excepting Christ as Lord and Savior

      1. six years of rebellion - Attitude, Satanism, heavy metal music, empty void in life

      2. Turning point, near drowning experience at SPI during spring break

      3. Sr Trip, and excepting Christ as Lord and Savior

b.      HBU years. Straying from the Lord

 

III.             Straying

a.      Doris
1.  Meeting her
2.  Transferring to UTB
3.  Unhealthy relationship

b.      Break up with Doris

c.       Partying – Angry and Bitter at everything.

 

IV.              Rachel Joy Scott

a.      Discovering her story

1.      Cold February evening, surfing the internet on Michael W Smith Song this is your time. 

2.       Reading Rachel’s story – Discovering her joy, wanting her joy.

3.      Reading tomorrow is not a promise. God shaking me to the core; re-dedication of my life to Christ.

"What if you were to die today?
What would happen to you?
Where would you go?
Tomorrow is not a promise, but a chance, It may not be there for you.
After death, then what? Where will you spend your eternity?
Will you have an eternal life with our loving Father, or will you be ripped from the arms of your savior Jesus Christ?
ETERNITY IS IN YOUR HANDS...CHANGE IT!"
