Rachel Joy Scott Funeral Transcript

Rachel was a normal teenager.  She had an intense love for God and her hearts desire was to see other’s come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior of their lives. She was a sister, she was a daughter, she was a student, she was a friend. Just like all teens, she struggled with doubts, and frustrations in life. She expressed her self through her journals and writings. She had a funny sense of humor and was very very goofy at times. She loved everyone, she didn’t judge. If you were the outcast or you were different, she was the one who would go out of her way to make you feel special and fit in. She let the love of Jesus shine brightly through her. She walked through the halls of her high school and people would notice her and see that there was something different about her. She writes in one of her journals “I don't have to say anything, they just see You in me” She also wrote in one of her letters to God “I want You to use me to reach the un-reached” God has answered this prayer. Through her legacy, millions of young people and adults alike have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior or have re-dedicated their lives to Jesus.  She has been a influence, an encouragement, and an inspiration to so many people world wide.  She proves that one person can make a difference and change the world!!

She's taught me so many things about God and life.  The most important lesson is the simple fact that non of us know what tomorrow holds.  Life is so precious, and we never know if we will live to see tomorrow.  Do you know where you will be when it is your time?   Do you know what death holds?   God is real today, and is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.  He loved us so much that He sent his only Son into this world to die, for our sins.  We deserve hell because we are all sinners.  He gave His life in human form to pay for our sins.  All we have to do is to believe and ask Jesus into our hearts to be Lord and ruler of our lives.  He will forgive us our sins and transform us.  Tomorrow is not promised us, are you right with God?

Also to really get to know Rachel I highly recommend reading "Rachel's Tears" first.  Then other books, Chain Reaction and Rachel SmilesThese books can be purchased though Rachel's official sites at www.racheljoyscott.com or www.rachelscott.com.  You can also find these books at any Christian book store or book store.
